Rayburn Legacy Park Dedicated as 2025 NCAA Men’s Final Four Legacy Project New Recreational Space to Provide Lasting Impact for Harlandale Community

SAN ANTONIO, April 3, 2025 – The 2025 NCAA® Men’s Final Four® Legacy Project presented by
Dove Men+Care
was officially dedicated today at Rayburn Legacy Park, 635 Rayburn Dr., marking a
significant investment in the San Antonio community. The project includes a newly refurbished
gymnasium, a walking track with exercise stations, and enhanced green spaces designed to
encourage physical activity and provide a gathering place for local families.

Located at the San Antonio Boys & Girls Club Rayburn Clubhouse — the site of Harlandale ISD’s
former Rayburn Elementary School — Rayburn Legacy Park addresses a critical need for
accessible recreational spaces in an area that has long been identified as a “park desert.” The
Legacy Project reflects the NCAA’s ongoing commitment to leaving a positive, long-term impact on
Final Four host cities.

“Investing in the communities that do so much to host our championship events including the
Men’s Final Four is important to the NCAA. We and Dove Men+Care hope this beautifully renovated
facility will inspire many young people in this community to love basketball and pursue the dream
of a college education,” said Dan Gavitt, NCAA Senior Vice President of Basketball.

“This facility is more than just a recreational space — it’s a symbol of how sports can uplift
communities,” said Elena Wells, Executive Director of the San Antonio Local Organizing
Committee for the Men’s Final Four. “We are proud to partner with the NCAA and Dove Men+Care
to bring meaningful change to the Harlandale community. Rayburn Legacy Park will serve as a
place for families to gather, kids to play, and neighbors to connect for years to come.”

The dedication ceremony featured remarks from key stakeholders and a ceremonial net hanging to
commemorate the opening of the facility.A representative from Dove Men+Care, the presenting sponsor of the Legacy Project, highlighted the importance of supporting community wellness through partnerships like this.

“At Dove Men+Care, we believe in the transformative impact of showing care,” said Neha Govil,
Associate Director, Dove Men+Care US Skin Cleansing. “Supporting the creation of Rayburn Legacy
Park is a reflection of our commitment to caring for communities by encouraging active lifestyles
and creating spaces where people feel supported and valued.”

Rayburn Legacy Park is expected to serve thousands of residents, providing a safe and welcoming
environment for recreation, exercise, and community events. The project underscores the NCAA’s
and San Antonio Sports’ shared goal of enhancing the health and wellness of local communities
through sport.
