The Road to the Final Four

Getting around downtown San Antonio during the 2025 NCAA   Men’s Final Four   is easy and convenient, thanks to a variety of transportation options. The city offers several ways to travel between your hotel, the Alamodome, different parts of the city, and popular attractions like the River Walk.

Transportation Options

For a more adventurous option, electric scooters and bike rentals are available throughout the downtown area. Jump on and jump off when you’re ready to get moving. These are a great way to navigate the city at your own pace, while also enjoying the sights.

San Antonio’s VIA Metropolitan Transit provides extensive bus service throughout downtown, including routes to the Alamodome. The VIVA Culture bus line is especially useful, connecting visitors to key landmarks such as the Alamo, the Pearl District, and museums.

Rideshare services like Uber and Lyft are readily available, offering quick and convenient transportation throughout downtown. Designated pick-up and drop-off zones near the Alamodome make it easy to access the venue for games and events. VIA Link is another on-demand ride-sharing service that offers affordable public transit options to neighborhoods within dedicated zones in the VIA service area.

The Old Town Trolley features over a dozen stops around the downtown area, including highlights like the Alamo, River Walk, the historic Pearl District, and La Villita. Trolleys run approximately every 30 minutes, allowing visitors to jump back on when they’re ready to continue their journey.

GO RIO offers a convenient hop-on, hop-off river barge service along San Antonio’s River Walk, allowing you to explore top attractions at your own pace. This flexible cruise option gives easy access to popular spots, making it a scenic and family-friendly way to experience downtown San Antonio from the water.

Park & Ride Services

For those traveling from other areas of San Antonio, convenient Park and Ride options are available to make your experience hassle-free. Various locations around the city offer designated parking areas where you can safely leave your vehicle and catch a shuttle to the Alamodome. Shuttle services run frequently, ensuring you arrive at the games and events promptly while enjoying a relaxed and enjoyable ride.

Pay for your fare

The most convenient way to purchase Park & Ride fare is with the VIA goMobile+ available for Apple and Android devices. Fares also can be purchased the day of the event at the Park & Ride location kiosk.

VIAtrans customers ride free. Children ages 4 and under are also free when they are accompanied by an adult.

Step 3

Board the right bus

As a bus approaches your stop, look for the 1- to 3-digit route number on the digital sign at the top and side of the bus and match it up with the route number on your instructions.

Real-time arrivals – Several stops and transit centers have digital signs that provide next bus arrival times based on the real-time location.  You can also text the 5-digit Bus Stop Number on the bus stop sign to 52020 for real-time information. More about Real-time arrivals.
